Those irritating newspaper hawkers at the 7th avenue entrance to Penn Station. Every morning, thousands of commuters are greeted by shouts of "get your metro here," "read all about it, AM New York for free." But, that's only the start of it. On a good day, you'll get people from the Daily news, New York Times and even a few corporate promotion kids handing you free stuff--everything from free samples of Snapple to Comedy show tickets. You have to battle your way through the gauntlet of loud mouth peddlers, but the upside: the stuff is free.
